2026 Beneficiary: The heart of a hero award
This scholarship has been created in memory of Alexxis McKerrow, a caring and compassionate young woman who opened her heart to all. She was truly a gift and a blessing to her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made continue to shine through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
The Heart of a Hero Award Scholarship will be awarded to a student(s) who shows true heroism through empathy, acceptance, and everyday kindness and exemplifies the same values Alexxis lived by — compassion, resilience, and the courage to be true to oneself.
By running, walking, volunteering, or cheering this year, you are helping us carry her light forward and investing in the future of young leaders who will embody the best of character in all they do.

5K and Kids & Everyone 1K
All levels of runners are welcome to this family friendly event where you can walk, run, or stroll(er) on a beautiful certified 5K route.
The Kids & EveryONE 1K is great for all fitness levels and abilities; it is mostly paved and suitable for adaptive bikes, strollers, and wheelchairs; all welcome!
Starts and ends from the Grundy County Courthouse!

Awards & Superhero Celebration 10:30 - 11:30
